RESUMO

Este trabalho disponibiliza de maneira ordenada e georreferenciada informações geoambientais sobre o Parque Nacional da Chapada dos Veadeiros e entorno, localizados em São Jorge, município de Alto Paraíso de Goiás - GO. O potencial ecoturístico da região é grande e o seu incremento representa uma alternativa de desenvolvimento sustentável para a área. A região estudada encontra-se geologicamente na Faixa de Dobramentos e Cavalgamentos Brasília, e as litologias predominantes são metassedimentos de baixo grau metamórfico atribuídas ao grupos Araí e Paranoá. A área está dividida em quatro compartimentos geomorfológicos, os solos são em geral neossolos ácidos e a vegetação desenvolvida sobre eles é tipicamente Cerrado. São descritos oito trilhas e dezessete sítios geoturísticos em uma linguagem acessível, além das descrições em linguagem técnica. Todas as informações sobre a região estão disponibilizadas em um Sistema de Informações Geográficas denominado SIG Veadeiros. O sistema foi concebido em ambiente ArcView 3.2 - software de geoprocessamento - e utiliza ferramentas de conexão de arquivos textuais e de imagens com entidades geográficas, além de ferramentas para classificação, identificação, consultas, cruzamentos e seleções destas entidades geográficas e seus atributos contidos em tabelas. Estas informações visam contribuir para transformar o turismo meramente contemplativo explorado atualmente na região, em um turismo mais informativo e participativo.

ABSTRACT

This work shows an in ordered and georeferenced way informations about the "Chapada dos Veadeiros" and surroundings, located in the São Jorge Vilagge, county of Alto Paraíso, state of Goiás - GO. This information intends to contribute to the transformation of the contemplating tourism now a day developed in the region into a more active and informative model. The region offers a great ecoturism potential and represents an alternative for the development of the area. The study region is located geologically in the Brasília Fold and Thrust Belt, and the predominant litology consists of meta-sediments of low metamorfism grade, related to the Araí and Paranoá groups. The area is divided into four geomorphological compartments. The soil is mostly acid neosoil and the vegetation is the typical Cerrado (Savannah). Eight trails and seventeen geotouristic sites form are described in a non-technical way for majority of public and technical language. All information on the region can be filed on a geographic information system called SIG Veadeiros. The system was created by ArcView 3.2 geoprocessing software, and uses tools for connecting text documents and images with geographic data, and moreover it uses tools for classifying, identifying, consulting, crossing and selecting attributes from the tables.
